Established in 1984, United Hospital Foundation formalized 150 years of philanthropy. Through annual gifts, endowment assets and funding of major facilities, technologies and programs, United Hospital Foundation and the community members who support it help ensure United Hospital’s continued leadership in health care. Creating a state-of-the-art Emergency Department

Serving as a front door to our community

• The main entry point for those needing urgent/emergent health care - 24/7
• Serving more than 44,000 people annually
• More than 42 percent of emergency department patients are admitted
• Increase from 17 beds to 36 beds plus 12 observation beds
• 6 bay ambulance garage
• Total project cost - $24 million

The United Hospital Foundation is dedicated to keeping United Hospital at the forefront of heath care innovation. To that end, we are working to secure donations to help expand and renovate the Emergency Department so that United can become a model for the nation on how the next generation of emergency departments should be built and run.
