Camp United is United Hospital’s summer volunteer program for high school and middle school students. It consists of six, two-week sessions throughout the summer. Camp United is the perfect solution for busy students who want to impact the community by volunteering.
Attend one two-week session and during this time you will help patients, families and staff at United Hospital by performing various duties in Guest Services, Patient Discharge Service, Gift Shop, and Patient Services. During these two weeks you will help people, learn about health care and reap the benefits of volunteering.

Things to know about Camp United
Each two-week session runs Monday – Friday
Based upon availability, you will choose between either an 8 am – 3 pm or 10 am – 5 pm shift for the duration of the session.
Applicants must commit to be in attendance for all 10 days of the session.
Sign up for session preferences will occur at Camp United Orientation.
There is no fee for this volunteer camp.
Participants receive complimentary parking or one way bus pass and a meal credit each day they volunteer.

Thursday, June 3 (noon – 3 pm OR 3 – 6 pm)
Monday, June 21 (9 am – noon)

3. Attend one of the Camp United Orientations
4. At orientation, choose Camp United session date.
Volunteers will be placed in sessions on a first come, first served basis. If sessions fill, students will be placed on a wait list. In previous years, we were able to place most wait list students in a camp session.

Session 1: June 14 – 25
Session 2: June 28 – July 9 (no camp Monday, July 5, in honor of Independence Day)
Session 3: July 12 – 23
Session 4: July 26 – August 6
Session 5: August 9 – 20
Session 6: August 23 – September 3
