We welcome media professionals to work with our communications department to arrange patient interviews and stories, to obtain background information and interviews with our professionals, and to visit our facilities along with Owatonna Hospital staff escorts.
The following are guidelines for contacting Owatonna Hospital to arrange interviews, videotape sessions, or photo opportunities.
Contact the Marketing & Communications office to arrange all interviews or background conversations with any member of Owatonna Hospital staff. Marketing & Communications is responsible for all inquiries from the media and can provide sources for your story.
Advance notice of on-site interviews is necessary so Marketing & Communications staff can arrange for a room for media interviews or shoots, notify the patient care areas involved, and schedule the appropriate patients, families, and Owatonna Hospital staff for your story.
The Marketing & Communications staff can assist the media with regard to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to ensure patient confidentiality.
To protect the privacy of all Owatonna Hospital patients and families, Marketing & Communications must accompany all reporters, film crews and photographers on any Owatonna Hospital campus.
Reporters and editors may call the Owatonna Hospital Marketing & Communications staff at 507-444-6070, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. On weekends or after hours, call the Owatonna Hospital operator at 507-451-3850 and ask to page the Marketing & Communications manager.
