Radiology
New Ulm Medical Center's (NUMC) Radiology Department offers diagnostic radiology, x-rays, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, digital mammography, fluoroscopy, PET CT, MRI, CT scanning, EKGs, and echocardiograms. The department provides care for both outpatients and inpatients of all ages.
In addition, NUMC has it's own nuclear medicine equipment with a technologist available three days a week.
Before visiting our department, patients receive information specific to their exam or procedure based on the order from the referring physician. This information includes any dietary restrictions or other preparations that may need to be done prior to the visit. Please take time to review this information carefully.
The Radiology Department is licensed or certified by the following entities: U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Service and athe Food and Drug Administration. NUMC is a Certified Mammography Facility.
Scheduled Radiology procedures are usually done between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The Radiology Department is open 24 hours a day, however, to provide services to inpatients and Emergency Department patients.
