Private, comfortable rooms
All sleep studies performed at the Sleep Center are conducted in a comfortable, private bedroom-like setting especially equipped to allow for recording and assessing sleep. For your comfort, we have queen-size beds, satellite television and wireless internet access. Before you leave in the morning, you are welcome to enjoy a shower and continental breakfast.
Pediatric sleep studies are performed in a specially decorated pediatric room. Parents are welcome to stay overnight with their child. Personalized tours and demonstrations help children relax and prepare for their study.
Sleep studies
A sleep study, or polysonogram, is a test that provides important information about whether your sleep is frequently interrupted, preventing you from getting the rest your body needs. A sleep study evaluates the quality of nighttime sleep, monitors sleep patterns, breathing, heart activity, brainwaves and body movements.
Studies are performed four nights a week. If your study shows that you require a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine, you may go home with it the next morning.
Most insurance companies provide coverage for the cost of the study, but you should check with your insurance provider to be sure.
