Heart attack warning signs
Getting treatment at the first sign of a heart attack is critical, so make sure you know the warning signs.
Seek emergency medical care if you experience these symptoms.
Most common signs
- pressure, fullness, or pain in the center or across the chest
- pain that spreads to the arms, neck or jaw
- chest discomfort with lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea, shortness of breath
Less common signs
- chest, stomach, or abdominal pain that you don't typically have
- nausea or dizziness
- shortness of breath, difficulty breathing
- anxiety, weakness, or tiredness
- cold sweats or paleness
